Event Overview & Registration

What are the Groundbreak 2023 conference dates?

Groundbreak will be held on September 19-20, 2023. Preconference activities, including Procore Workshops, will be held on September 18, 2023.

Where will Groundbreak 2023 be held?

We plan to host Groundbreak 2023 in person at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, IL.

What is the cost to attend Groundbreak?

Please visit our Registration page to review our pass options for this year’s conference. The Registration page provides pricing and pass details.

How do I register for Groundbreak?

Secure your pass for Groundbreak on the Registration page here.

After submitting the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email. Please make sure you check your spam folder if you can't locate your confirmation email. If you still can't find it and need another copy, please email groundbreak@procore.com.

If you registered multiple people and entered your information at the beginning of the checkout process, your confirmation email will include all attendees who were part of your order. All attendees will also receive their individual confirmation.

What is included in the Full Conference Pass?

The Full Conference Pass includes access to the entire Groundbreak experience— all keynotes, all breakout sessions (pending capacity), the Expo Hall, networking receptions in the Expo Hall, meals listed on the agenda and the Groundbreak Bash (off-site).

What is included in the Full Conference + Workshop Passes?

The Full Conference + Workshop passes include access to the entire Groundbreak experience plus one of the preconference Procore Workshop tracks held on September 18.

Breakfast and lunch will also be provided for Workshop registrants on September 18.

What is included in the Student Pass?

If you are a student, you’re eligible for a discounted Full Conference Pass. To register, please email us at groundbreak@procore.com from an email address associated with your school. Our team will provide you registration instructions.

Can I bring a guest to Groundbreak?

We do offer a Groundbreak Bash guest pass, for an additional cost. See the Registration page for pricing details. A guest pass option will appear on the registration form after a full conference ticket has been selected. The Groundbreak Bash Guest pass allows guests to attend the off-site evening celebration, but does not permit admittance to any other Groundbreak activities, including keynotes, breakout sessions, or happy hours. Guest pass holders must be 21 years or older.

What payment options are accepted for registration?

Payment is required upon registration and must be made by credit card through our online registration form. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Payment is due in United States Dollars (USD).

We cannot issue invoices or accept payments via purchase order, wire, ACH, or check.

If you encounter an issue while trying to submit payment, please contact groundbreak@procore.com for assistance.

I’ve purchased a Full Conference Pass and can no longer attend. What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Our cancellation policy provides flexibility in case your plans change.

All cancellation requests must be submitted to groundbreak@procore.com via email. The deadline to receive a full refund is August 31, 2023, 11:59pm (PST). No refunds will be issued for cancellation requests received after August 31, 2023.

How do I transfer my Full Conference Pass to another colleague?

To transfer your Full Conference Pass, please:

  1. Access your registration confirmation email and click on the “Manage Registration Details” link.
  2. Proceed by clicking on “Transfer Registration.”
  3. Enter the email address, first name, and last name of the new registrant.
  4. Click on the “Transfer Registration” button to confirm the transfer.
  5. Once submitted, the previous and the new registrant will receive a confirmation email about the transferred ticket.

Do I have the option to purchase a pass for one day?

We do not have one-day passes available for this event.

Do you offer group discounts for this event?

Group pricing will be available starting June 1, 2023. Pricing details will be posted on our Registration page on June 1, 2023. 

For the best pass price, we recommend registering within our early bird rate period.

Please note that the Group Pass pricing cannot be combined with any other discount or offer, including the Full Conference + Workshop Pass. Group Pass pricing cannot be retroactively applied to previously purchased passes.

Is there an age restriction to attend Groundbreak?

You must be at least 18 years of age to attend Groundbreak. You must be at least 21 years old to attend the Groundbreak Bash (offsite).

What is the common language spoken at Groundbreak?

The official language of the conference is English. All keynotes, breakout sessions, and product theater sessions in the Expo Hall will be presented in English.

What are the official Groundbreak 2023 hotels?

Please view our Travel page for the list of hotels that we have contracted rooms with at a discounted rate.

It has come to our attention that unauthorized third party companies have presented themselves as hotel booking agencies for Groundbreak 2023 and have attempted to contact conference exhibitors and attendees to make hotel reservations using their services. Please note: OnPeak is our sole hotel booking agency partner for this year’s conference. Neither Procore nor the hotels listed on our conference website has a relationship with any of these companies outside of OnPeak. No other housing company nor travel agency is authorized to place hotel reservations on behalf of Procore. Reservations made through any other agency outside of OnPeak cannot be guaranteed and may result in additional charges, incorrect hotel placement, or inflated room rates for other conference participants. Please refer to the hotels listed on our conference website and use our OnPeak reservation service to avoid any confusion or additional charges. Procore cannot guarantee room rates or availability provided by any of these outside housing agencies. 

If you are notified by one of these agencies or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at groundbreak@procore.com. In order to provide and maintain a high quality experience and obtain the best possible rates, we encourage all conference attendees to book within the hotel blocks listed on our conference website using our OnPeak reservation service.

How can I reserve a hotel room?

Please view our Travel page for the list of hotels that we have contracted rooms with at a discounted rate. 

On the Travel Page, under the “Hotels” section, click on the hotel of your choice. You will then be directed to the OnPeak hotel reservation system to select your booking dates and complete the reservation process.

What day should I plan to arrive at the conference?

Please view our Agenda page for the day-by-day overview. 

If you registered for a preconference activity, like Procore Workshops held on September 18, we suggest traveling and arriving the evening of September 17. 

If you are not participating in a preconference activity, but are planning to attend the entire conference, we suggest arriving the afternoon of September 18, to ensure you’re able to check-in and participate in our opening networking event. Keynotes and breakout sessions will begin the morning of September 19.

What is the closest airport?

There are two airports to choose from in Chicago: 

Chicago O’Hare

Approximately 20 miles to the McCormick Place Convention Center.

Chicago Midway (MDW) 
5700 S Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60638 
Approximately 10 miles to the McCormick Place Convention Center.

Are event shuttles or transportation services provided?

Transportation services will not be provided at Groundbreak. Both Chicago O’Hare and Midway airports have public transportation options and taxi services available. Visit the airport websites to plan your travel to and from the airport. 

Additionally, the official Groundbreak hotels are located close to the McCormick Convention Center, which makes a quick walk the most convenient mode of transportation in the area.

Can I request a visa invitation letter?

Procore will not sponsor visas for Groundbreak attendees. All attendees are responsible for obtaining any visas, sponsorships, or other required documentation.

Health & Safety

What precautions is Procore taking to ensure Groundbreak will be a safe event?

The health and safety of all Groundbreak participants is of utmost importance to Procore. We will be taking necessary precautions and abiding by all applicable local, state, and federal safety measures and requirements. See McCormick Place policies and the City of Chicago policies for more information. 

All Groundbreak participants are expected to follow reasonable and common safety practices when visiting a metropolitan center.

Agenda & Sessions

When will session information be available?

When will session registration open?

Session registration is now open. All Groundbreak ticket holders should have been notified via email and received a  personalized link to build their custom agenda. Session registration will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Some sessions will reach capacity prior to the event. We recommend selecting your sessions as soon as session registration opens.

Will keynotes and sessions be translated in other languages?

All keynotes and sessions will be presented in English. Translations will not be available.

Will keynotes and sessions be recorded and available on-demand?

The opening keynote and select breakout sessions will be recorded for on-demand access.

Do I have to select my sessions in advance, or can I decide once I’m at the event?

Session registration will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Some sessions will reach capacity prior to the event. Those who registered for the sessions will be given priority access to the session; those who did not register will only be permitted into the session if space allows. We recommend selecting your sessions as soon as session registration opens.

Preconference - Procore Workshops

When will Procore Workshops be held?

Procore Workshops are an add-on preconference activity that will be held the day before Groundbreak, on September 18, 2023.

Where will Procore Workshops be held?

Procore Workshops will be held at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago.

What is included in the Full Conference + Workshop Pass?

The Full Conference + Workshop passes includes access to the entire Groundbreak experience plus one of the Workshop tracks held on September 18.

Breakfast and lunch will also be provided for workshop registrants on September 18.

How do I register for the Procore Workshops?

Secure your pass on our Registration page here. Select one of the Workshop Pass options relevant to your company type.

After submitting the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email. Please make sure you check your spam folder if you can't locate your confirmation email. If you still can't find it and need another copy, please email groundbreak@procore.com.

Do I need to register for Groundbreak in order to participate in a Workshop?

Yes. We do not offer “workshop only” passes.

Is there a registration limit for the Procore Workshops?

Registration is first come, first served. If registration for your selected Workshop Pass is full, sign up for the waitlist and the Groundbreak team will notify you prior to the event if a seat becomes available.

When can I register for sessions for my Workshop track?

Session registration for Procore Workshops will be available in late June. Those who registered for the Full Conference + Workshop Pass will be notified via email once session registration opens.

Are Workshops sold out?

Some of our preconference Workshops are sold out - specifically the General Contractors Workshops. If you were able to join the waitlist, the Groundbreak team will reach out prior to the event to notify you of your waitlist status.

There are still spaces available in the Specialty Contractor and Owners Workshops.

My company is an event sponsor. Where can I access exhibit details?

Exhibit details, including upcoming deadlines and booth information can be accessed in the Exhibit Resource Center (Launching May 16).

What is the Groundbreak Code of Conduct?

Our Expectations:

Procore is dedicated to providing an engaging and inclusive event for all Groundbreak participants. All attendees, speakers, sponsors, partners, vendors, and Procore staff (“participants”) are required to comply with our Groundbreak Code of Conduct. By attending Groundbreak, you are agreeing to abide by this Code of Conduct.

We expect all Groundbreak participants to be respectful, act professionally, and to interact and communicate in ways that are appropriate for a professional audience from diverse backgrounds. Procore will not tolerate any harassing or abusive behavior towards any participant—including, but not limited to, uninvited or unwelcome physical contact or attention or insults, jokes, or content that is obscene or denigrates a person based on gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, national origin, religion, or political affiliation. Further, the use of fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading content and/or engagement in illegal activity is prohibited.
